SDG14 Asia Overview

SDG14 Asia advances marine sustainability in Southeast Asia through collaboration, innovation, and concrete action, uniting communities, researchers, and partners to protect oceans and livelihoods.

Our Objectives

These five objectives guide the Association’s work to protect and restore ocean health, strengthen marine research and innovation, foster collaboration across sectors, and ensure that all efforts serve the broader public benefit.

1. Promote Ocean Conservation

To promote the conservation, protection, and sustainable use of oceans and marine resources in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14.

2. Support Marine Research

To support marine and environmental research initiatives and encourage the sharing of scientific data with academic and research institutions.

3. Encourage Innovation and Technology

To promote the application of science, innovation, and technology to address marine environmental challenges and advance sustainable ocean management.

4. Foster Collaboration

To collaborate with charitable organizations, public-benefit entities, academic institutions, and international partners in advancing ocean conservation initiatives.

5. Serve the Public Benefit

To operate exclusively for public benefit purposes, ensuring that all activities of the Association remain independent of political or commercial interests.

What We Do

The SDG 14 Asia Association focuses on supporting projects and programs that contribute to ocean sustainability across the region.

Key areas of support include:
Marine biodiversity conservation
Coral reef restoration and protection
Marine pollution reduction
Sustainable fisheries and coastal livelihoods
Ocean research and scientific data initiatives
Marine education and public awareness programs
Innovative marine technologies and environmental monitoring

Through funding support, partnerships, and collaboration, the Association helps transform innovative ideas into meaningful environmental impact.

Partnerships & Collaboration

Effective ocean conservation requires global cooperation.

The Association works closely with:

  • Universities and marine research institutions
  • Environmental NGOs and charitable foundations
  • Government agencies and policy organizations
  • International environmental initiatives
  • Technology and innovation partners

By bringing together expertise across sectors, the Association helps scale solutions that protect marine ecosystems and strengthen sustainable development across Asia.

Supporting Marine Projects Across Asia

Asia contains some of the world’s most diverse marine ecosystems, yet these environments face increasing pressures from pollution, climate change, and overexploitation.

The SDG 14 Asia Association aims to bridge the gap between important environmental projects and the resources needed to implement them.

By supporting research, collaboration, and innovative environmental solutions, we help advance meaningful progress toward the global goals for ocean protection.
